Louis T. Jenkins has a lot to say about gratitude. He is well versed in the habit of praise and worship to his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. With the strong influence of godly parents, Louis thrived as a child, learning to play the piano with his two young brothers in San Francisco, CA. Most of his early education was classical, but he adventured into Jazz and the Gospel terrain as he grew.
God used the tool of “Improvisational Music” to open his mind to writing and composing songs. Of course, during that period, Motown caught his attention, followed by the wildly popular Andraé Crouch & The Disciples. In recent years, Fletch Wiley, who played trumpet with the Andraé Crouch band, has become his producer, bringing God’s leading full circle.
“There is no greater feeling than knowing God is accepting you and using your music to change lives and draw us all closer to His plan.”
Still a California resident, Louis leads and supports worship in his home church, at local worship events, and in his studio, seeking the face of Jesus. He is a founding member of Soncerity, a Gospel group in Sonoma County, CA. Their music is a blend of classic R&B and modern beats for this generation.
“I hope the next generation learns that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. And the truth is that there is nothing new under the sun; they learn to follow Him, not man.”
